The Board of Directors is comprised of a group of unit owners that have been chosen by a community election to represent the interests of the community. They make decisions for the common property of the community, and common / shared property. In other words, the BOD members make decisions about how to spend the money of unit owners. That means that being a member of the BOD is a very important duty.
It also means that it is a very stressful duty. Many people are angry about decisions that the BOD makes. Even if those decisions were the best that could be made, it can still be painful for unit owners and they often direct their anger at the BOD. Sometimes the BOD under-performs, makes mistakes, etc, and deserves an amount of anger directed at them. Whatever the case, it is likely inevitable that BOD and angry unit owners will always go together, than peanut butter and jelly on a sandwich.
Over the past several months there has been a group of unit owners, some of them apparently angry, that have been including me in group emails expressing their desires to change the BOD membership. I have been asked, by some, to post the information from those emails on this website. I have resisted doing so because I have wanted to maintain a higher level of discourse than seems to be expressed in the emails that I was getting. By higher level of discourse, I mean higher level of respect for the parties involved.
However, in spite of the insults and personal attacks contained in the emails, they are not without value. For that reason I have decided to share them. I am placing a link on this website to another website that contains those emails. That other website will serve as an appendix to this one. That appendix is not open to search engines. The only way to get to it will be through the link, TAJ Watch Appendix A in the left column, in the section of USEFUL LINKS.

BOD Meeting: 14 September 2009, 7pm
According to the office management staff, the next TAJ Board meeting will be on September 14th at 7pm. The normal meeting was postponed a week due to the Labor Day holiday. As always, the public is allowed to attend and unit owners will be given an opportunity to participate with their comments, questions, and concerns.
CALL FOR ASSISTANCE
I think that it is useful information for the TAJ community to know which Board members are in attendance at the meetings and to know what items are discussed, etc. However, I am often unable to attend the meetings. I need help from someone, anyone, who would be willing to take some notes at the meetings. If you would be willing to provide me with that information I would make the process an easy one for you. Contact me via email if you are willing to help. You can send me an email by clicking the link in the left column, or by using this address: TAJResident@gmail.com.
