Community Lighting

From the Property Management Office:
Six additional lights poles have been installed in front of build 26 (West side of neighborhood, adjacent to Cleary Blvd).  This is "adhering to the "candlelight" rule of city of Plantation."

Tennis Court Lighting

A unit owner recently reported that the tennis court lights have not been coming on and going off appropriately.  The TAJ maintenance crew is responding to the complaint and the preliminary suspicion is that the timer may have been affected by our recent weather with heavy lightening.

Unit owners might be interested to know that the property manager reported that several months ago the tennis court lights were worked on by an electrician.  It apparently took him a significant number of days to troubleshoot the causes of the lighting problems and then rewire the poles to comply with local building code.  The lights have been fully functional since April 2014.

Tennis court lighting contributes to property security.  On the other hand, the longer the lights are on, the higher the TAJ electricity bill will be.

Let Your Light Shine...

The President of the BOD had promised that the light would be fixed. Years of disappointment had convinced me that it would never happen. But now I want to say THANK YOU to both W2ndi H1ll and the TAJ management and maintenance crew for fixing the light between buildings 35 & 36. It has been since Hurricane Wilma, in October of 2005, that our street looked like the picture below left. But this past week the maintenance crew did the hard manual labor necessary to bring the illumination, below right.

Thanks For the Light!

Una traducción española está disponible en Web site: www.TAJWatchSpanish.blogspot.com

I do not know who made it happen, but I am very grateful. Whether it was Bette Ann DiSalvo who got it done before leaving, Alan the maintenance man before his recent departure (he is apparently temporarily off-the-job with a back injury), or the current BOD members/acting property managers. Whoever deserves the credit has my thanks for repairing the security light (the light on the right in the picture) that is situated between buildings 22, 40, 33, and 35. It has been out since Hurricane Wilma and I have felt the need to illuminate as much of the area as I could with my own back porch lights (the light on the left). Now, at last, I can turn off my back porch lights at night.

If the security light on the other side of my building (situated between buildings 35, 36, and 40) were to get repaired then my neighbors and I could turn off our front porch lights at night, too! Whoever it made it happen, keep making it happen!!

BOD Meeting on Wednesday 17 October 2007

The meeting was sparsely attended, with only Manny, Scott, Bryan, and Prentis representing the BOD (John, Teresa, and Ben were absent). Only four home-owners (including myself) showed up for the meeting. Topics of discussion included recent construction, the status of the on-going effort to replace the sight-lighting (FPL lighting project), and what to do about the two units that were purchased by the TAJ Association (3602 and 2108) that are apparently going to be difficult to sell for a profit.
